This weekend I had the chance to hike the lakes of the Emparis Plateau, a place I consider one of the most beautiful corners of the Alps. Between grandiose panoramas, total silence and perfect reflections in the water, it was an incredible pause in the heart of the mountains.
From the very first metres, the landscape opens onto a breathtaking view of the Meije massif, which remains visible for almost the entire hike. I crossed alpine pastures still full of summer colour, with that feeling of freedom you only find at altitude.
Arriving at Lac Noir and then Lac Lérié, I enjoyed a moment of absolute calm. The sight of the peaks reflected perfectly in the water is always magical, no matter how many times you've seen it. I took the time to stop, savour the moment and capture a few panoramas for Rando360.
Whether you're a photography enthusiast, a keen hiker or simply looking for an unspoilt corner of nature, the Emparis Plateau is an unmissable destination. It's a place that reminds me why I love spending so much time in the mountains.
